The scope of this civil and external works with Monash University and Multiplex included all earthworks, fill and landscaping works above a new underground carpark and major bus interchange. Works were conducted in a live environment (University students and staff, and ongoing public transport), with responsibility for university consultation, public safety, traffic management, and out of hours work. Detailed scope items included all pavements such as coloured concrete, exposed aggregate, stone paving, timber decking, rock and lillydale topping paths. Earth fill and build up works included large foam block void fillers and a specific membrane system (above the basement), and strata vault works under fill including soil and all grass, irrigation and soft landscaping with a large quantity of mature plants and trees. Numerous seating, public space furniture and street furniture finished the areas off.
